Wild times

Today I was slipped twice from my respectable broker (IB). It was almost the first time in the last two years. Spread also is huge, due to low liquidity. Obviously not the best time for scalping. I will stay aside for a week or so. Mad, mad times.

Late entries

3 trades today, the first entry was way out of the right point. The arrows show the best possible entries.

Strong move

Nice pips on eur/jpy, despite the approximative entries (and exits). I still let most of the price move outside of my trades.

I love Mondays

Splendid Monday morning with very strong trend on euro wich forgives late entries (like the first one here)...

Followed by 4 more trades.

Risk taken again!

Risk taken twice today, saved by the strong bias, giving the best daily performance so far, but at a price.

Morning session

Some little trades today, on both pairs.

Weekly Stats : Week 37 (1-5/9)

My best week so far, performance was mostly aided by the strong bias in the last days (euro collapse). 90 trades in total, (45 x 2 lots), 60 winners, 6 losers, 24 nulls (-2 to +2 pips), giving a W/L ratio of 10,0. Most important, average loss was contained at the av. win level. Too many trades and commissions paid. +42,35% weekly performance, around 52% before commissions. Hope to have such a week again soon...

These are the last stats I publish in this blog. The reason I insisted till today to publish stats is not because I am involved in a kind of competition or effort to show my skills. The stats were there to keep record of the every day struggle with risk managment, the most difficult to achieve in trading. In all these 37 weeks and 10 months stats, I tried to explain in the simplest manner how I manage to be profitable by controlling the risk exposure. I hope I helped at least one of you. From now on, I will keep my performance a private affair.

I will continue to publish my best and my worst trades, write on some cds and other things i like and (soon) my efforts on game theory applied on trading. Thank you all.

3 trades

3 trades on eur/usd. Conservative exits again.

Slices

I tried then 4 trades on eur/jpy, because of the higher volatility of this pair at the moment. I let most the movement pass by and got some bits here and there. The fourth trade was VERY risky, I was confident with the strong bias down and did not close it at -30. Finally it turned positive. That was the first risk taken this week (and hope the last one).

All in all, 22 trades today (11 x 2 lots), 108 pips won, +11,76% on account, new personnal record.

An exceptional week by all means.

Strong trend

No trades in the morning, traded the afternoon session. Here are my 4 trades on eur/usd. I could stay short for longer and have bigger gains but I could not realise how strong was the trend at that moment. I don't complain anyhow.

London today

4 trades today but after London opening (pre-London was relatively flat). On the third one, price reversed exactly at the stoploss.. +4,06% on account.

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

All the trades

8 trades in total today, all winners, 84 pips won, +11,16% on account. My best daily performance so far. But it was an easy to trade market today.

I love Francfort (opening)

4 trades this early morning, giving 44 pips (22 x 2 lots). Some enties are not spot on but the strong bias helped to make considerable gains today. This was followed by another 4 winning trades.

Pre-London

2 fast trades for 10,6 pips. Start of month will be choppy. Stay out for a while.
