Hesitation killed the sparrow
I had a few seconds of hesitation to close or not this short who turned badly. That was enough to give me a -63 on the face. High volatility, high gains, high losses.210 pips won today. My best day/week/month so far. But we live/trade in abnormal times.

Madness
This the chart of my equity's change in %, during the day. Overtrading (50 trades in total!) drove performace back and forth between 0 and 15%, closing the day around 12%. Complete non-sense and very stressfull. Patterns and trendlines apply here too...

A capital mistake
This short went to +8, not closed, not even at break even and was left to move quickly against me. Negligence? Stupidity? Egoism and incapacity to accept the obvious? Check all the above.

The art of giving (back)
..the reversal took place some minutes later, little by little and I was insisting to be short. This is the art of giving back some of the previous gains..

Slices of thr trend
3 shorts in this big drop. There is an important empty space between the 2nd and the 3rd, marking my hesitation to re-enter for the 3rd time. I finally reentered a lot of pips below the 2nd exit, making this trade risky, as the downtrend was exhausting and could have a strong reversal an any time..

The "You will miss the party" trade
i was busy with my dayjob during the move down, and when back to trading, i wanted to get on the train at any price. The result is allways a bad entry. I was trapped in a ranging market and lost 13 pips.

Just a slice
I was busy and missed the previous entries but I don't complain. A sparrow needs just one bit :) And bit after bit..

Fast up
Quick pips on this long momentum, closed on time and at the res trendline intersection , nothing lasts forever..

late exit
Late exit, as trend lines, cci and etc were ignored. I took most of it back, but the mistake is not deleted.

Code name :Broader view

3 fast trades in this pre-London Monday and 5,7 % on account. This is a new setup, the latest evolution of the rainbow, with many trendlines, fibos etc. We worked together for this with my new friend Andrea "Oppenheimer" (i am von Neumann for him..) from Terni, Italy and i am very happy about it. It was, it still is, a splendid collaboration. More on the next charts.

Wild times
Today I was slipped twice from my respectable broker (IB). It was almost the first time in the last two years. Spread also is huge, due to low liquidity. Obviously not the best time for scalping. I will stay aside for a week or so. Mad, mad times.

Strong move
Nice pips on eur/jpy, despite the approximative entries (and exits). I still let most of the price move outside of my trades.

Weekly Stats : Week 37 (1-5/9)
My best week so far, performance was mostly aided by the strong bias in the last days (euro collapse). 90 trades in total, (45 x 2 lots), 60 winners, 6 losers, 24 nulls (-2 to +2 pips), giving a W/L ratio of 10,0. Most important, average loss was contained at the av. win level. Too many trades and commissions paid. +42,35% weekly performance, around 52% before commissions. Hope to have such a week again soon...These are the last stats I publish in this blog. The reason I insisted till today to publish stats is not because I am involved in a kind of competition or effort to show my skills. The stats were there to keep record of the every day struggle with risk managment, the most difficult to achieve in trading. In all these 37 weeks and 10 months stats, I tried to explain in the simplest manner how I manage to be profitable by controlling the risk exposure. I hope I helped at least one of you. From now on, I will keep my performance a private affair.
I will continue to publish my best and my worst trades, write on some cds and other things i like and (soon) my efforts on game theory applied on trading. Thank you all.

Slices
I tried then 4 trades on eur/jpy, because of the higher volatility of this pair at the moment. I let most the movement pass by and got some bits here and there. The fourth trade was VERY risky, I was confident with the strong bias down and did not close it at -30. Finally it turned positive. That was the first risk taken this week (and hope the last one). All in all, 22 trades today (11 x 2 lots), 108 pips won, +11,76% on account, new personnal record.
An exceptional week by all means.

Strong trend
No trades in the morning, traded the afternoon session. Here are my 4 trades on eur/usd. I could stay short for longer and have bigger gains but I could not realise how strong was the trend at that moment. I don't complain anyhow.

I love Francfort (opening)
4 trades this early morning, giving 44 pips (22 x 2 lots). Some enties are not spot on but the strong bias helped to make considerable gains today. This was followed by another 4 winning trades.

Monthly Stats : August 2008
A mediocre August with some lousy trades who gave rather important losses. I passed the last week of the month to cover this. Still in the positive side on monthly performance, but the increasing average loss in the last 2 months is alarming. I should try to cut losses earlier in September.

Weekly Stats : Week 36 (25-29/8)
A good week following a bad one : average loss is again around av. win, after last week's derapage and this, together with favorable W/L ratio gave a 10% positive result. Too many tades again, too much commissions paid.

Tempting, but not my style
Two consecutive losses earlier today, trying to contra-trend a strong market... Not very clever, definitely... I am not good for this. Even on the similar trades I won in the past, I closed for a 2-4 pips gain, risking 10 or so..
